My Number 5 Top Male Fictional Book Character

Wow, it's been a while since I've blogged. Yikes, sorry about that. Busy times, etc.

So, my number 5 top male fictional character was a difficult decision to make. When I get to my all time favorites it's easy. But when you're a little lower on the list it's hard to decide. There are a lot of male characters I like. But to make the list it seems there are certain qualities that need to be present. Good moral fiber, attractive, sexy, passion, strong, will defend his lady, over all hunkiness, just a good personality, and so on. So I finally got my ducks in a row and decided that my number 5 top male fictional character is...Prince Charmont. AKA Char.

Well it was close, Char almost didn't make the list. But I decided, as my first reading love he simply had to be on my list. So it only seemed appropriate he be share number 5 with Ella.

I love the growth we see in Char. I love his earnestness, sweetness, curiosity, passion, and loyalty. I love that he loves Ella. His adventures with and without Ella are thoroughly enjoyable. The banister scene is one of my all time favorites as well as the scene where she breaks the curse. Char is wonderful in his ability to see people for who they really are and being polite anyway. A true diplomat. I see some of Dad in that.

Char also made my list because he's a prince. What girl doesn't want to be a princess? I know I sure do. Plus I'm a sucker for fairy tales. Char is described in some very realistic ways. He's not flat. Char was my first modern prince and he set the bar for book men for me. Thanks Char!
